You should be part way through the Whole Brain Radiation by now.  Praying that this is going well for you.  My husband had WBR in September.  He is very claustrophobic so that was his biggest challenge.  He made it through.  Praise the Lord!  He did not have many side effects after they put him on steroids.  Before that he was having vomiting.  He has had no long term problems.  His memory is fine.  Good luck to you.

So sorry to hear about your father.  My husband also has the disease that had spread to all the same places.  He is only 57. He had whole brain radiation too.   He is also now starting to get the terrible side effects from Zelboraf.  My prayers are with you.

Thank you for the encouragement.  My husband is in month 4 of Zelboraf.  It has been working, shrinking liver, lung and subcutaneous lesions.  Brain is stable after whole Brain Radiation.  Not feeling well now with fatigue, weakness, loss of appetite.  We are hoping it is a side effect.  He doesn't want to come off Z as it has been working so well.  Your story kicks butt on the shorter durability averages and that gives us hope.  Merry Christmas.

Thank you for the inspiring news about Zelboraf and durability.  Craigs dosage seems so low compared to my husbands which is 4 – 240 mg pills twice a day.  Merry Christmas!
