The American Academy of Pediatrics has issued a warning that tanning teenagers have a heightened risk of skin cancer. Research has detected a link between teenage tanning bed use and an increased risk of cancer of the skin later in life. Laws prohibiting minors from entering indoor tanning parlors have been called for by pediatricians and dermatologists on FDA advisory panels.
