Noticed a freckle at age 39. Went to the dermotologist to have it removed. He said it wasn’t harmful and it wouldn’t be covered by insurance since it would be cosmetic. Fast forward 11 years, it got darker and started changing. Got it removed on Jan 13th and found out it was melanoma on Jan 21.
