Bio

I was diagnosed with Amelanotic melanoma in March 2021.  I had surgery to remove the cancer and learned that it had spread to a lymph node.  I was on Keytruda treatments every 3 weeks until March 2022, receiving 16/18 treatments when I developed diarrhea.  Treatments were stopped immediately.  I was hospitalized for keytruda induced pancreatitis at the end of March.  By the end of April I felt like I was back to normal, until the diarrhea came back.  The oncologist doesn’t want me to stay on steroids, and wants me to see a GI, scheduled for Oct. Imodium doesn’t help. I am seeing a dietician to help with the inflammation.  How long should I anticipate diarrhea after stopping treatments?  Will I develop a chronic condition from having inflammation and diarrhea for so long?
