        As Janner said, nobody knows for sure just by looking. An ugly looking mole may be benign and another harmless looking one may be melanoma. Physicians nowadays practice defencive medicine, which means that the vast majority of skin biopsies taken are out of over-abundance of caution and are not cancer. I think that you will be fine. For now just try to distract yourself. I know it is hard but look at it this way: even if it is melanoma (which is extremely unlikely), it will be taken care of early. I know the 2-3 weeks wait feels horrid, but it is all good. And when you are officially all in the clear, please don't forget to come back and tell us. All the best!

                Thank you very much for your response, Janner. I actually was concerned about a freckle (mole C) as it seemed to be new. However, the derm pointed out at the two moles on my stomach (A and B) and suggested to biopsy them as well. Those moles were not changing (as far as I can tell). I had five other moles biopsied in the previous years and all were normal.

                I am very vigilant about my skin and I even own a dermoscope, so I am quite sure that the pigment in the biopsy site from the mole A is returning. Is it something that needs to be addressed? And if so, how soon? Is it Ok to wait until my yearly skin check in about 10 months?
