I had stage 1 melanoma dx’ed ’97….fortunately got away with just a WLE, thanks to my parents, who brought me to a derm yearly who showed me pictures of cancerous moles. The mole was in a place I could see, and I just knew it was cancerous. I’m now a mom of 2- have had 2 in situ’s removed since then.
