Last June just went to dermatologist for a check because it had been a few years.  My Aunt died of skin cancer and I do have a lot of moles.  The doc 3 off to check and 2 came back positive for malignant melanoma.  One one stomach and one on back.  0.03 mm and clarks level 2 on stomach, one on back was less – went to surgeon and both were cut out.  I go every 3 months for check ups now and my April check up, she removed 2 more on my back.  One came back malignant melanoma but she sai only needed a wide excision and she could do.  Did that 2 weeks ago and it came back that she didnt get it all so going to another surgeon tomorrow to get more cut out.  To be honest, none looked bad to me so it's so hard to notice.

Thanks!  I did have a wide excision and it didn't get it all.  The other 2 I had last July, I had a surgery to deep for wide excision.  It's been a roller coaster of feelings – just afraid we are going to miss one or one little cell will be left.  Happened to my Aunt and she passed away because it spread.  I have a consult for the mohs surgery on Thursday and I've read it's not usually done for melanoma.
