        I had melanoma removed from the bottom of my foot… a place that never receives sunlight. The spot was there for 15 years before I decided to get it checked. It was a slow mover I guess you could say.

         

        that being said, I have a dark ugly spot on my back that doctors are not concerned about and that has been there for just as long.

        Odds are your spot is just a funny mole and you won’t have to worry about it.

        BUT get it looked at for peace of mind, please. And include annual skin checks in your routine of health care.

          Thank you both for responding!!! It has definitely helped me calm down a bit. My scar tissue has been terribly painful so I keep looking at it and my mind is playing tricks on me thinking it’s fetting bigger or darker lol. 

           

          My appointment is on the 11th this month.  Hopefully one look at it and they will say what you both have written, and my appointment can just be a skin check and maybe discussion of how to fix the scarring.

           

          thank you again so much. It was nice to hear from people with ALM and even better to hear from someone with it in the exact same location as me!
