Im waiting biopsy results for a new, asymmetrical, dark mole on the back of my thigh. I totally fear the worst because I have a history of having atypical moles. Fingers crossed for both you and me that we are in the clear. Keep us posted.

Do you have a history of Melanoma? I would have a dermatologist look at it to be on the safe side. They xan help you decide next steps.

I think you’ve already answered your own question by being concerned enough to post here. Does it look different than other moles on your body? Is it the “ugly duckling?” I just had a similar experience and went to the Derm. last Thursday to have a new, dark, asymmetrical mole removed because it was clearly atypical. No results yet, hoping for the best. I felt it was important to go because it cpuld mean the difference between catching it early and not which is potentially deadly. I was not willing to take that chance.
