I chose the Month long interferon tx and am now on the shots for 11 months. The first shot I had site effects but none after that, except for some fatigue. I am working full time. This is just my experience, I wanted to do whatever I could. I am diagnosed 3C. Go with your heart and gut with what is best for you.

I have been stage 3C for 3 years and so far no lymph node involvement.  I was just diagnosed with a new tumor close to second site.  I have a good melanoma oncologist in Minnesota..

I had the month long interferon 3C , then radiation, then the 3x a week shots. Tolerated the shots for 17 weeks and quit in December as I could not deal with side effects anymore.  Fatigue was terrible, nausea was increasing, joint pain, did I say fatigue ? 

PET scan done last week was good – finally a break in the action.  Husband and I may just take a vacation now.
