Just an update, I visited the Dermatologist this past weekend and was told that the discoloration is hematoma due to an injury several years ago and not melanoma. Further, the dermatologist also added that melanoma is rare among Indians. I'm relieved now that I know. Prayers to all those less fortunate than I am.
