      Hi everyone,
I used to take zelboraf and want to take it again.
I also used it when it was a clinical trial. I am of course BRAF positive.
Anyone have any thoughts about doing Zelboraf again?
      Please respond!
      Thank you,
      Don Armstrong

          Hey Don,

I just want to say that if you had a response to Zelboraf before, it's very likely that you'll have a response again. I was on it for about a year, then started the anti pd-1 trial. My oncologist has made it very clear that if the pd-1 drug doesn't work, he considers getting back on Zelboraf to be a good next option. He said that sometimes ones body builds up a tolerance to Zelboraf, but if reintroduced after you've had time away from it, it can again be very effective.

          Best of luck!

Were you still responding when you stopped? Why did you stop taking it?

I stopped taking it while still responding to do Ipi. I’ve now had all four rounds of Ipi and am back on Zel and responding to it again. Having terrible liver toxicity problems though with both Ipi and Zel rolling around in here together.

If you gave more information or filled out a profile it would be helpful.

                Best of luck to you!

Why and under what conditions/circumstance did you start and stop Zelboraf,  under which clinical trial  and what was your medical response? ; further, why and under what conditions do you now  want to resume this drug  outside of clinical trial now that it is an approved drug?

Is it due to condition, response , relapse or approval?

I would be more interested in why you would ask.

                      Cheers,

                      Charlie S
