      Has anyone had an issue with an increase in eye floaters with their diagnosis?  I've noticed an increase (or maybe they were there before and I didn't really concentrate on them like I do now?).  I have been to the eye doctor who said things look ok and brain MRI's say things are fine. 

      Guess it's just another thing to stress us out!  🙂

          Floaters often increase as we age, but if you notice a pronounced increase in floaters, it could be something serious.  Also, if you see a "curtain" across your vision, please seek medical help immediately.   I have plenty of floaters as a result of a couple of eye surgeries, but I've never heard of any connection between them and melanoma.

                  "Eye doctor"…an opthamologist or an optometrist? If you're referring to optometrist, I suggest making an appt with an opthamologist…they like to know about floaters, especially an increase…which, I'm pretty sure has nothing to do with your melanoma, I know mine don't.

                        Thanks guys.  I know I've had them checked out.  It seems also when the spring season came upon us I had an increase in eye congestions so that doesn't help!

                          hi

                          I had them but only as a side effect from interferon – once I stopped that they eventually went away.
