I saw a surgeon on Monday and he did not want to do a needle biopsy because the lump is to small.  I am now scheduled for Surgery this Friday for biopsy.  Hopefully they only have to remove the 1 Lymph Node but we all know how that goes.  Sometimes they get in there and need to remove more.  I am still optimistic that the beast has not returned and I am only being cautious.  Still on Interferon.  Almost 8 months completed.

good luck. I'm sure you know there could be many other reasons for this node to be swollen, hopefully it is NOT melanoma!

Hopefully they will only have to check one lymph node and it is neither black nor melanoma.  I have had no success with Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA).  Have aalway had to follow up with real biopsys. FNA's on small lumps make me think too  much of huntig a needle in a haystack with an other needle!  Deep breath and let us know results when you can.

I want to say thank you to everyone that responded.  I am nervous about surgery again tomorrow.  I thought I was going to have a mental breakdown yesterday.  It is a struggle sometimes to remain positive.  I will keep everyone posted.  The results to the biopsy are supposed to be back on June 1st and I have another appointment that day.
