Just a thought, but loss of appetite could be a sign of mild depression?  You've had a shock to your system, both surgically and mentally, I'm sure.  It's possible to have depression without really "feeling" depressed.  For me, I have to look at other symptoms like loss of appetite and concentration loss – to me they signal depression more than any feelings I experience.  This may not have anything to do with your current situation, I'm just throwing the idea out there for consideration.

          Best wishes,

When I had a simialr surgery, I experienced a lack of appetite, and my innerds just took their time getting back to normal. Any time the surgeons move around the intestines, it seems to tak e a while to get back to "normal" . Also, the pain meds caused me to be constipated which affected my appetite, as well.

Hopefully you are beginngin to notice some improvement. I would sure take this concern to the Dr if you aren't.
