I was diagnosed in April of this year with stage 1A on my inner thigh. I've since had the WLE at the site and am recovering well. Also a squamous cell carcinoma on my chin. Both surgeries were done within 3 days of diagnosis.
I am meeting with an oncologist this week. My question is, what should I expect test wise? Since the surgery was considered "curative" should I expect any invasive tests?

It is very unusual for someone with a low stage like yours to ever see an oncologist. I am not sure what they will do, there are no tests or anything they can do at this point. We see oncologists at stage 3 and 4 to go over systemic treatment options and they oversee our care during treatment. At your stage, you've had the WLE, so the melanoma is gone, and now all you can do is keep up with your regular dermatologist skin check appointments and be vigilant about getting biopsies of any new or changing moles.
