Has anyone have mohs surgery after excision did not get it all? 3rd primary in a year. The first 2 required a surgeon due to thickness.

No, I haven't had mohs, and I wouldn't have mohs for melanoma – it's just not the right procedure, you need full wide level excisions except perhaps for in situ melanoma.. I think Mohs would only be suitable if further excision was not possible or if the site was really tricky (eg face). Third in a year… that is really tough. Hope you are holding up ok.

Thanks! I did have a wide excision and it didn't get it all. The other 2 I had last July, I had a surgery to deep for wide excision. It's been a roller coaster of feelings – just afraid we are going to miss one or one little cell will be left. Happened to my Aunt and she passed away because it spread. I have a consult for the mohs surgery on Thursday and I've read it's not usually done for melanoma.
