Hi everybody, just wanted to update you on my progress..Friday will be my last treatment of the high dose interferon..I will have to say that i didn't have any problems with treatment at all..I get my Picc line out Friday also..From there i get some scans done then possible radiation then the 3 X a week shots of interferon..I'm hoping that goes as well as the high dose..My advise is drink plenty of water and get some nutritional drinks and drink plenty of V-8 juice, it really helped me a lot..Good luck and prayers to everyone..

Ginger, I'm glad to hear you had no problems with your four weeks.
I'm stage 3A and an about to embark on my first four weeks of interferon on Monday. I'm been dreading it as I've read so much on the side effects varying from person to person. I'm taking the first week off from work but will need to return to work to maintain my medical benefits.
So your share of your experience provides me with some hope it won't be too bad.
Best of luck with your further treatment!

Please just make sure you drink plenty and eat anytime you can…I took 2 ibuprophen and a benedryl before i went for treatment..The nutritional drinks and the V-8 was the best thing that helped me..Good luck and get plenty of rest..

Great job Ginger and great advice. Good luck with the self shots.
Mike,
Good luck to you. Hope you do as well as Ginger but keep in mind she is the exception rather than the rule. I'm sure you'll do fine but don't get discouraged if you don't sail through it like she did. I probably faired better than most and I still thought it was a pretty tough ride through the HD month.

Thank you but unfortunately they came back with 1 very small suspicious spot on each lung, they're gonna do a biopsy on a lymph node on my neck..I'm praying that the spots on my lungs are just dead cells..
