This is an interesting article which features Emily Whithead who was fighting against Lymphoblastic Leukemia and was treated by CAR-T cells or chimeric anitegen receptors by Dr. Carl June. The melanoma world is leading in the research of Immunotherapy treatments. The article talks about what can be learned by looking at the Genomes of those miracle survivors, I feel that the melanoma field and Immunotherapy research is way ahead of this view. We are getting fantastic % of stage 4 patients living longer and for many the word cured is starting to be a word that can be finally considered!!!! The article doesn't take into account how research in Melanoma is now looking at topics like how to get cold tumors to become hot. The washington post article seem to be more a promotion of the national cancer genome atlas program than being a true representation of Immunotherapy treatments and research. Best Wishes!!!Ed
