I had my biopsy results 5/22. My first oncologist/ surgeon team meeting is not until 6/5. My derm told me I would be fast tracked for SNB and excision. Now that is not happening till who knows when. I know I’m supposed to be patient but must admit it is starting to get harder. Thanks,

Yes, that sounds about normal– particularly over a holdiday weekend.
Waiting is always the hardest part! That's something that we all have to deal with. Try to learn to always have a positive mental attitude; that's a very healing frame of mind.

Time frames differ for everyone, I think. I got lucky and the surgeon had an appointment the same day that I got my biopsy results but I think most people face something more like what you are. I also had to go through a battery of imaging studies for surgical planning before I could get a surgical date so even though I saw the surgeon for a consult right away I still had to wait a couple of weeks to get all of the imaging done before I had surgery. Your case may not require quite so much imaging, I don't know. I suspect that once you have your onco/surgery consult things will move more quickly. A couple of weeks won't change anything, a couple of months can. I've also found that at least for me, when testing needs to be done an oncologist or surgeon can push things through or get things squeezed in faster than GPs or dermatologists, etc so again I would guess that things will move along at a good pace once you meet with them. I've been battling this for close to 2 1/2 years now and when my oncologist (my local one, not the specialist I also see) says jump, the imaging and surgical departments jump and things get done, usually inside of a week. Also, I know it's hard (I remember how hard it was for me to deal with and come to terms with the diagnosis and everything involved with it) but try to relax a little if you can- it doesn't fix anything to worry before you have something to worry about.
Good luck to you! This forum can be a great place to find support and answers to questions.
