Info for Kit mutation cancers.
Imclone has an antibody against KIT. An antibody would bind to the extracellular regions of KIT receptor, and in theory may help to recruit immune system attack or else could thwart KIT from dimerizing. Importantly, it would also be insensitive to the acquired secondary mutations that thwart TKI's from binding. An anti-KIT antibody in combination with a TKI might synergize into a highly effective blockade. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=KIT+antibody+imclone
