Hi Jennifer,
Think you are quoting the reference code for epacadostat.
The clinical trial will have an entry on clinicaltrials.gov and therefore will begin nct followed by so!me numbers. If your dad is considering a trial he should be offered a written description of the trial protocol do he knows what he will be given etc
It's all confusing…mk3475 is the same as pembrolizumab is the same as keytruda for example.
Please shout out when you know a bit more.
Best wishes
Deb

Deb is right. Icnb24360 is another name for epacadostat which is and IDO inhibitor.
Here is a study for melanoma patients in which it is combined with nivolumab (also known as Opdivo) an anti-PD1 product.: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02327078?term=epacadostat&rank=1
Here is another in which epacadostat is paired with pembrolizumab (a different but similar anti-PD1 product, also known as Keytruda): https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02752074?term=epacadostat&rank=2
Hopefully thise links will work and give you and idea how trials work. You have to be careful to understand what they are offering. For example…in one of these…one arm gets placebo. So you have to think about what you (or in this case your dad) is really willing to do.
If I recall properly, your dad is without prior treatment. Why not the ipi/nivo combo? That treatment is FDA approved and has the best response rates going….no trial needed. Celeste

Additionally, Brian who responded to your last post is right. Your dad's BRAF status, determined from an examination of his tumor type, is very important. If there is a lot of disease – BRAF inhibitors can decrease the level of tumor burden very rapidly if you are BRAF positive. The downside is that for most, they do not maintain that effect for much longer than 6 months or so. However, they can be very helpful in decreasing tumor burden rapidly and once that is done…switch the patient rapidly to an immunotherapy (ipi/nivo/pembro) which work best in patients with a lower tumor burden.
It is also essential that your father is being followed by a melanoma specialist….an oncologist very familiar with melanoma and a history of treating many patients with melanoma.
There are reports, which include data and explanations for most of these things, on my blog. Use the search bubble if you are interested. I wish you and your father well. Celeste

Hey Celeste & Brian,
You guys are funny
. The main thing is this board is such a wealth of information, and the synergy of all of us can help the body and calm the mind. Thanks to all for the awesome support and information. FYI, I am kind of stuck in a holding pattern right now. Nivo appears to be holding things steady for the time being. Still considering next steps.Gary
