Has anyone used Imiquimod with success? I think some people call it Aldera.
Thanks,

Hi Don,
I used it with partial success. When I was undergoing IL-2 treatment, I also applied Aldera to my mets. At that time, my cutaneous mets were between my eye and ear–they did clear up. But my response to IL-2 was short-lived as was my Aldera response. I grew new ones & my onc derm would freeze them and I would apply Aldera every night. It helped a little, then not at all.
The doc said it didn’t work as they had hoped.
More recently I was in a clinical trial for DPCP, a topical agent used successfully in Australia on cutaneous metatastic Mel. But then I requested a second BRAF test and it was positive, so I just began Zelbarof and had to stop the DPCP trial. It’s at Rockefeller University Hospital around the corner from sloan and they are recruiting.
Hope this helps,
