My last ipi infusion was Feb 20th, that was the 3rd one, since I got side effects bad enough to put me in the hospital, the Oncologist will not give me my 4th one. After the second infusion I had gotten very itchy with no rash and then that left, then the stomach issues and Uevitis with eyes after the third. Now that my eyes are getting better I again started with the itching but now have the rash too, my tumors on my arm do not seem to be shrinking just by sight. I see the Melanoma specialist on the 23rd for blood work and a skin check and then 4 weeks later another scan.

We are still hoping for a response but I don't know what to think with all these side effects. Has anyone been throught this many? Thanks for any responses.

Well, my hubby got all four induction infusions and ended up in the hospital for ipi induced colitis, ipi induced hepatitis. He just getting out today with all of the side effects from high dose steroids. He is now on insulin in addition to everything else. Oh, and his melanoma is now in his bones.-

I am so sorry to hear that, sure didn't know a person could get so many side effects, will keep him in my prayers. I stopped my steroids last Sunday but still have the shakes.

My last IPI was on Dec 29. It was my second. Jan 2, I was in the hospital with colitis. I was on steroids until 3 weeks ago. I also had itching and rash. He still says I can have the other two infusions but I don’t know when. I started radiation Mon. On the spot behind my knee. I hope it takes care of it and I can be NED!
What were you eye issues? My eyes have been burning lately. I thought maybe I was just tired but I think it might be more than that.
I’ll have another PET Scan May 15.Hang in there, I hope it all works out for you! Be strong!

I was told that I couldn't have my last infusion because I had severe diahrrea and the problem with my eyes. They were blurry and hurt and my eye doctor gave me a very good checkup while in the hospital and is still following me, will be off the drops on the 19th and see him on the 26th. So I think if you are concerned about your eyes I would see your doctor. You hang in there too and will keep you in my prayers also.

my onc has me following up with a opthomologist twice a year( or more often if I have problems)…anti pd 1 could cause a condition that may end up in blindness. My eyes are ok so far but I have such allergies they have been causing me problems…not the trial drug.
