      I know that we have a lot of new posters lately and I just wanted to give you some hope. My mel arrived in 1979 and had multiple primaries. In 06 I had a deep recurrance under the original scar which took me to stage IV.  That was almost 5 years ago!! 

      They've been watching 2 lung nodules and scans today showed they are still stable. Oncologist thinks they might even be a shade smaller. Too small to biopsy and they have been watched now for 5 months. In retrospect we can see that they were there for over a year.

      While I've had 5 recurrances, twice in the bladder, I'm still here and not planning on stopping!

          Linda! fantastic news girl! I am so happy for you. I hate the stress that comes with waiting for scan results. You keep kicking melanoma's ass, and I'm smiling now to see this news!

              Congratulations on the truly great news! I am confident that you will be ok for a very long time
              now. Anyone considering GM-CSF should definitely read your profile.

                                  Thank you. I love it when we post good news. I am Stage 3b with local recurrences and NEED to hear that neither recurrences nor Stage 4 is a death sentence.

                                          Yeah Linda!  I am so happy for you!  You are doing awesome and encouraging others.  I did the Melanoma Walk in Dallas, Texas last Saturday 3.3 miles….It was wonderful.   I did it for in memory of my Jim and for all the other warriors still fighting Melanoma…AIM raised approximately $70,000.00 at this one fundraiser.  I will do this every year!

                                                        Unfortunately I had to repost. They now have reread the scan and believe there is a recurrance. My onc did not like my surgical area…..

                                                        There is a woman posting that is from Bear De. and I believe you share her Dr. Her post is under MMarieMetcalfe.  I e-mailed her last night and told her that you lived near by, haven't heard back.

                                                        Hope I have good news to post after the tumor board discusses on Monday!
