Had 5 mets removed from brain in feb sucessfully. Lastest scans show 2 more very small ones not sure if new are was there before and 2 little to see. Due to do gamma knife again in aug.

He is taking zelobraf and in four weeks all his visible tumors have completely disappeared. Hoping one inside chest cavity on one on kidney are shrinking also.

I’m worried. About doing gamma knife again but our dr assures us it will be fine and that they can get them.

One thing I have to say is that I'm really impressed how pro-active doctors in the US compared to here. I'm sure it all comes down to resources.

I would go the gamma knife and get those 2 small mets, the Zelboraf should then hold the mel (if he is responding) from spreading any further mets to the brain.

My dad had original 7 mets and we just accepted our oncologists decision to to temador and WBR, when deep down I wanted to do gamma knife then as well. If I had insisted and listened to BenP on this board my dad would probably be still walking now and having some quality time. Go the aggressive road I say and don't look back.

All the best, let us know how he goes.
