Anti-PD-1 antibody for previously
treated, stage IV melanoma
• PD-1 expression on CD4 and CD8 T cells is
decreased after anti- PD-1 treatment
• CTLA-4 expression on CD4/8 T cells also rose
after anti- PD-1 treatment
• These data would suggest that anti-PD-1 priming
followed by anti-CTLA-4 boosting might be useful
• In the ongoing trial of second line PD-1 antibody,
four patients have had subsequent anti-CTLA-4
• Two of the four have had major responses after
failing anti-PD-1; one CT image is shown (next)

Jerry,
this is good news…i wanted this trial BAD but i have the WRONG HLA_A type (i look caucasion but my bloodwork doesn't)….it seems that the booster vaccine along with the drug makes the moffitt clinical trial enticing to say the least…

Know a little about what you mean about the caucasian look. Since I was so dark brown, I grew up being called names like Indian, or nigg–r. Didn't look overly white, but now my HLA seems to have originated predominately in Southern Asia? (My father and Mother were both darker than most of the rest of their family as well.) Does this mean there might be something to the theory about the land bridge thru the Beriing Straits?
There have been a few trials for other than HLA-A2, but they are hard to find. Would love to see more. I have not ben able to learn why PD-1 should be tied to HA-A2. Woould like more info on this subject.
