Tumour shrunk to 3 cm on keytruda

Just checked my oncology appt card and in fact I have only had 7 cycles. I was counting the two ipis. While I was on ipi I got quite a lot worse. On morphine at night for the cough and coughing all day and night. As soon as I changed to Pembro, the cough cleared up a lot in the first two cycles. So I would have been due for scans after cycle 6 but everyone is on summer holidays here over xmas and new year ( I'm in Australia) and I was feeling well so my dr told me to go away on holiday and just have the scan when I got back so I wouldn't be worrying about scan results while on holiday. I can ask him today re cycle 4 Vs cycle 6. In the past he has told me that on my low dose of 3 mg per kg every three weeks we need to give it time and I guess my melanoma has been quite indolent so far.

He now thinks that's because the melanoma was shrinking but it took a while for the inflammation around it to go down. Because I am not on a trial they can be flexible with the scan dates.
