In 2013, there was a Phase I trial combining dabrafenib and ipi. (There was also an arm that included mekinist, but it was suspended due to a disproportionate number of patients experiencing colitis.) As a Phase I trial, the purpose was to test safety and tolerability–but does anyone have a sense for how the patients on this trial are doing? At one point in the not-so-distant past, folks were very optimistic about this combo. Thanks.

Hey Mat,
I haven't seen any particularly new reports. Here was some preliminary info from ASCO in June (last article): http://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/2014/06/ipilimumab-in-combination-with-other.html
Not sure that helps much…. c

I can't say directly but that was the first medicine treatment they tried to get me into back in July 2013. The trial never happened for me but later I did take ipi then a month later started the combo. I later heard or thought I heard the trial had been cancelled not just no longer recruiting and when I asked why all they would say is it was due to toxicity. What the toxicity affected I dunno. Later I heard they were going to do the trial again but with lower dosages. Since those medicines didn't do much good for me I lost interest in keeping track of it.
