My mother (90) has been on Zelboraf for 8 months with great results. The only problem we are having now is severe joint pain in the leg with the melanoma. This is keeping her from moving around and staying active. We have been trying to handle the pain with over the counters but will be starting narcotics today. Any other suggestions and has this pain come and go for anyone on Zelboraf?
Thanks.

What dose level is your mom on? I was on the full dose of 960mg and had horrible joint pain (and other side effects of rash and such). I was taken off fo a week and put on a lower dose of 720mg (3 pills 2x's per day). My joint pain was bad for a few weeks but now is barely noticeable. Some days are better than others. I did start taking joint juice and glucosamine (spelling?). I've also found the heat/humidity make it worse. Can't really avoid that in the heat of the summer…
Best of luck!

Mine comes and goes. I have managed with Advil, ibuprofen (3 every 6 hrs), going off Zel for 2 or 3 days then restart with a medrol dose pack (steroids) so far. -
