Hey folks – I'm just curious how long it took before you started seeing other skin growths from Zelboraf?  I've started to notice a lot of bumps on my skin.  You can kind of see them on my hand here (in the middle top towards the knuckles).  They are fairly flat and clear.  Just curious if other folks have seen the same thing.  I did notice some of these though before I started on Z.

I've also noticed since I had my rash really bad last week what appear to be more red/cherry marks (maybe Cheery angioma's?).  I'll see my oncologist Friday and Derm the following week so I'll ask them about these spots then.  Was just wondering what folks have experienced.  I am now on a reduced dose.   Feeling pretty good except for the darn joint pain.

      Have a great weekend everyone!

Yeah that's pretty standard with this drug, my dad had these warty growths all over infact! They didn't disappear until he went off the drug. As for the joint pain, well that continued too throughout his 7 months moving from joint to joint each day, and only stopped when he stopped taking it.

I know that somedays he had no joint pain, but it always returned somewhere even in his feet.

                Hope you can manage it.

                All the best

For me it took a couple of months before they became evident on my skin.  I would see my dermatologist every 12 weeks and used to joke that she was part of my weight control plan, always removing some of them.  About a year ago, the frequency slowed but I still get them occasionally.  A word of caution, be sure they are looked at, one of mine turned out to be a squamous cell carcinoma.

                      Best of luck to you.

Thanks guys.  Yes i'm set to see my derm fairly often.  and make note of all spots I want him to check.  Even though I know they will check every where anyway.  Anxiously awaiting when we scan next to see what's going on.  Right now I'm just glad the rash is under control.  The lower dose helps.

Best of luck to you all!

Erin you should make sure those red marks are not petechiae which could indicate a problem with your platelets. Google petechiae and see if it  is similar and you would need to contact your doctor asap. I would at least call tomorrow if you think it is similar to petechaie.

                                      Mary Sue –

Thanks for the info.  Not sure that my spots really look like petechaie – but I left a message with my derm.  I am supposed to see him on July 9th and do see my oncologist on Friday.  Oh the joys!  I'll keep you guys posted.

I did reach out to my derm – and sent him some pictures (I'm a visiual person!).  We'll figure it out.  Maybe they are just from the stress on the skin from the rash?

Here are a few! of the red spots and possible warts?  Fun!

Red spots – showing up on my hands/shoulders/legs etc.

clear spots near my knuckles – warts?
