Nahmi, I am really sorry to read this news. Unfortunately, BRAF inhibitor resistance
appears to be a problem now. Therefore, drugs such as MEK/PI3K or HSP90 inhibitors
(XL888) may be needed in order to counteract this process. (See:
http://clincancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/early/2012/02/18/1078-0432.CCR-11-2612).
However, I don't know if the appropriate clinical trials are available locally. Not sure if you meant temozolomide but here is some info about it:
http://www.chemocare.com/bio/temozolomide.aspAs to what you can expect now, I think that depends on how your dad responds to the
chemo and the WBR and if he is able to have access to further clinical trials.Take care

So sorry to hear the news about your Dad. I don't have any information on the drug or the WBR as my husband never went through any of that. Please know that we think and pray for him and the family as well as the other warriors on here fighting this disease. I will say an extra prayer for him and the family today.

Dear Nahmi,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad's progression. Please know that I am praying that the chemo and radiation work for him, and I am sending out hope hope hope!! I know how much you love him.
Also, there is a good webinar on the Melanoma International site about WBR. Not sure if you can access it, but it has lots of information about what is involved. I am sending hugs across the ocean, too. Take care and God Bless.
