BRAF/MEK trials?

My husband is stage IV–he completed yervoy in July–it worked for a few weeks, but a follw up scan last week showed the cancer is growing. His doctor mentioned there was a combination BRAF/MEK trail, but he wasn't doing one. My husband is BRAF positive. A few questions–is there a marker for MEK, or what would you need to qualify for that type of study. Where are the BRAF/MEK studies taking place and is there any information about how well it works.

  Sorry to read that your husband has had disease progression after completing Yervoy

  Zelboraf has recently been approved by the FDA, so your husband's oncologist should be
  able to help him to get access to it.
  
  Unfortunately, there are no guarantees that any melanoma treatment will be effective but
  some people have had good results with Zelboraf.

  University of Colorado is doing a braf/mek trial that I may be entering soon here (hopefully).
