Hi everyone, I'm freaking out and came for reassurence – I'm stage 1a melanoma patient, diagnosed in Nov 2015. Low risk lesion, o.4, no ulceration / invasion, mitotic rate less than one, clear margins. Had my wide excision and scans – came back clear.

i am now 8 weeks post partum, Like couple of weeks ago I noticed what looked like a rash on my hand – several lightly pigmented spots, but when I look at it now, it looks more like lightly pigmented, oddly shaped moles. There are five of them, not elevated, and I do not have it anywhere else on my body.

. Definitely not nodules or papula. If there was one of them, I would probably not even notice, but they appeared all at a time and I'm just freaking out it's skin met….

                  Hi fallingstars,

It's tough not to freak out when you've got a melanoma diagnosis.  This is true for anyone!!!  I personally it's harder after the littles come alone, but this is just my theory.

The best thing for you to do is get to a dermatologist (or good GP) and talk with them.  NO ONE can diagnose melanoma (or not) by looking at it.  So if you're concerned, take it to your doctor and have them look at it (and if necessary, do a punch biopsy).

Then take your mind off it, and enjoy the little ones.

                  Wishing you peace.

                  Shalom,

                  Julie

Hi Julie, thanks a lot for your reply! I managed to get an appointment at my dermatologist's and thanks got the spots are nothing serious – they are tiny hyperpigmentations of miniature scars, probably caused by razor. Actually, at the beginning, I thought I cut myself while shaving my hands in the shower, but then the spots got darker…

And you're absolutely right – it's even darker not to freak out when the baby is here…
