Can anyone tell me if you can have your cells saved for Till treatment  if you ever need to go down that route. This is if you was having it done private.

Sorry I have read about how the treatment works but also have read readings when you are so ill and cannot wait for cells to grow . Could you have them saved if you ever needed them. I know it might not work in the first place but if it did would this be possible if paying for it. Plus I have no idea how much it would be but it was on my mind. You can only get it I think but  could be wrong in Uk private.

Sorry if you think this is a silly question but was woundering, I am braf negative so finding as much I can  on treatments for braf negative.

          Hi Scooby,

It is possible to do this.  When they have harvested your T-cells from some tumour specimens then they freeze them until such time as the procedure and infusion is needed.  I believe they usually like to take sub-q samples if they can but in my husband's case they extracted from the liver.

Cost and where it could be done in the U.K. I am afraid I don't know but I would imagine it would be in one of the large research hospitals (maybe Manchester?)

          Hope that helps

                    Hi Scooby,

The Christie Manchester has a Til trial registered on Clinicaltrials.gov but this is not recruiting and looks old, although a Dutch one is active. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=til+manchester+melanoma&Search=Search with Manchester listed as a collaborator ??

scooby has ther same concern as me: can we can get a Till therapy done privately somewhere on this planet without going through a trial? the reason I ask is because some of us do not fulfill all required patameters . so what if I want to pay, where is that hospital that will let me Till therapy?
