Not sure what a "liver spot" really is in technical terms. Freckle (lentigo) is not as likely on the hand but I'm sure it can happen. Seborrheic keratoses might be what your friend calls a liver spot, and again, not sure the palm is the most likely spot. I do have an "SK" on the back of my hand, however and several on myface. Yes, it coud be a mole..
The final word is this: NO ONE can tell by looking. If this is bothering you, you need a biopsy. Even a derm cannot say for certain what something is without a biopsy. Many have tried and screwed it up. (We see the bad stories here). None of us is going to tell you that you can ignore this, it's fine. I gave you my opinion before – it didn't strike me as anything particularly ominous and that's the best you'll get here. The ONLY solution is a biopsy sincw this is obviously bothering you..
