Hello, I am new to this forum and was wondering if I could get some advice. I noticed a mole growing a couple of months ago and didn't really think anything of it. It is now a bit bigger and is starting to worry me. I know the best course of action is to see a doctor but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how serious it looks/if I should see one asap as opposed to my next checkup.
Here is a picture, zoomed in. Thank you for taking the time!

If it is new and you have been noticing change then yes, book an appointment for a dermatologist now and get it biopsied. You've done the right thing in noticing it and watching it. Now you should make the appointment and figure out what it is. Hopefully it's nothing. No one can tell just from a picture whether it's melanoma or not, you need a biopsy to know that info.

This. No one here, or on any internet forum, will be able to tell you with any certainty what it is or is not. The above advice of going to see a doctor is the right answer.
It's easy, it takes very little time, it tends not to be terribly expensive and it will provide significant relief or will give you a chance to take this thing out early if it is more serious.
